Hi everyone,

For those of you who are following me on Facebook, you’ve probably noticed that I recently introduced a new illustration style. It’s similar to my existing painterly style but it’s a bit vintage in nature. I created two new invitation designs on Pingg in this style: One graduation invite and one pool party invite. They are available on Pingg here:

Hello everyone! Today, I would like to feature Melissa, a PR Coach for small businesses. She is in the process of launching her latest coaching program Anonymous to A-list. The program starts April 30th. If you are a small business owner, you may want to head over to her site soon and enroll in her training program. I created a series of graphics and illustration for her new program including a logo, an illustration of her and several website buttons. It was great working with her so I asked her to sit down with me and answer a few questions…Enjoy!

1/Tell us a little bit about your company and the services and products that you offer.

My company is Cassera Communications and our signature course is called Anonymous to A-List, which teaches business owners how to go from Best Kept Secret in their industry to Business Superstar. The course is like getting an MBA in branding and publicity for your business. I also spend a private hour with every course attendee so they can get crystal clear on their action plan to grow their visibility and business.

2/ What made you decide to start this company/program?

I was an actress/model as a child and then I went to college for Public Relations and spent many years honing those skills in my own agency. I decided to merge the two passions together to help business owners become business celebrities through a variety of fun strategies and techniques I’ve learned from Hollywood and the boardroom.

3/ Describe a typical day

I wake up and play with my new puppy for about an hour. Then I start checking email after my second cup of coffee, check in with my team to make sure everything is running smoothly, work with my private coaching clients, break for exercise, work with private clients again, and then turn everything off by 6pm to enjoy time with family.

4/What aspect of your business do you enjoy the most?

It might sound cliche, but I love making a difference for my clients. I’m a big believer in celebrating small successes and I genuinely feel excited when I get a call or email from one of my clients telling me they accomplished something. That gives me the “warm + fuzzies.”

5/What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working?

I’m definitely a Premium Cable TV addict, so my favorite thing would be to catch up on (or re-watch) one of my favorite shows like Game of Thrones or True Blood while simultaneously texting all of the “OMG” moments to my friends and fellow fans.

Thanks Melissa!!

Hi everyone,

So, I’m a bit late in posting this but lately I’ve gotten a lot of questions about postage guidelines. I decided to sum up my answers in this little guide. Keep in mind that these guidelines are general and that the weight of the paper could change the actual postage amount for your invitations. Also, if you share this, please be sure to credit Chic Pear Designs. Enjoy!
